Inspirational Kite Installation Unveiled in Spring

A unique and inspiring kite installation has been unveiled in Spring at the national headquarters for Arrow Child & Family Ministries, a Christian foster care and adoption organization, and Sprint Waste Services couldn’t be prouder to play a small role in the project.

Sprint Waste Services joined construction partner Satterfield & Pontikes and a long list of other volunteers and donor companies to support the kite installation and inside renovations. Sprint Waste donated a dozen 40-yard roll dumpsters to handle the construction trash of the project, including labor, transportation and disposal.

The kite installation was part of a larger interior remodel of the headquarters building, with architectural firm PBK and construction partner Satterfield & Pontikes taking the lead.

PBK's Sean Pantin designed the concept for the kite installation, which was unveiled in the lobby to welcome guests. Pantin said he took his inspiration from Arrow’s work as a child welfare and educational service serving vulnerable children and families. “Since this organization deals with foster care and providing services to help kids and strengthen families, many families come in with difficulties weighing them down," he said. "To counteract that, I wanted to create a space that made them look up, see light and color and feel like they were outside of the building as soon as they entered.”

Debi Tengler, chief relations officer at Arrow Child & Family Ministries, said “Arrow is so grateful for all who supported us with this incredible renovation. Thank you everyone ... every single person who did so very much. Amazing renovation to help kids feel safe and happy!”

Sprint Waste Construction Sales Manager Brian Baker said Sprint Waste was happy to join the effort. “We’re thrilled the renovation was so successful and that families and children can enjoy and feel welcomed by the beautiful space that was created,” Baker said. “We appreciate our partnership with Satterfield & Pontikes and will continue to help where and when we can.”
