Sprint Waste and Chevron Phillips Chemical Giving Buckner Our Best Shot

Sprint Waste was pleased to tee it up at the 2021 Chevron Phillips Charity Golf Tournament at the Bayou Din Golf Club in Beaumont, Texas, benefiting Buckner Children and Family Services. This year’s event raised  $195,837 through corporate and community sponsors like Sprint Waste, a silent auction and raffle, and the well-attended golf tournament, 100% of which are used locally for Buckner programs.

Each year in September Chevron Phillips Chemical Co. brings together service providers, partners and others across the industry in support of the important social services Buckner provides. For 23 years and with this new total, Chevron Phillips has raised nearly $3.8 million to fund Buckner programs in and around Beaumont.

Sprint Waste has partnered with Chevron Chemical to support the Charity Golf Tournament since 2009. This year Sprint Waste signed on as a Pit Stop sponsor, serving up sliders to golfers on the fourth tee, in addition to donating portable toilets, handwashing stations and sanitation services to the event.

“We were thrilled to once again come together with friends and colleagues at Chevron Chemical and throughout the industry in support of this wonderful cause,” said Steve Cannon, vice president at Sprint Waste. “The programs Buckner makes possible throughout the greater-Beaumont area and in Southeast Texas are indispensable to the many families they help. We value our close working relationship with Chevron Chemical and especially appreciate Chevron Phillips’ continued focus on giving back and community outreach.”
